The analysis is mainly based on the works and lives of six Kurdish painters: Riza Topal is certainly the most famous Kurdish painter in Europe. The son of a peasant family, he was born in Hülüman, a small village in Turkish Kurdistan in 1934. He has lived in Munich since 1968.
