The West African Economic and Monetary Union Capacity Building Program for Public Procurement Reforms (PRMP-UEMOA) was approved by the Executive Board of ACBF in May 2007.
The goal of the project was to consolidate the first phase (regulatory framework financed by the World Bank between 2002 and 2005) by: (a) effectively implementing the community regulations adopted by UEMOA in December 2005; (b) incorporating these regulations into the national legislations of the eight member states of UEMOA; (c) establishing a sub-regional information system; (d) building the public procurement capacity of economic operators in the sub-region; and (e) building the capacity of UEMOA in monitoring the implementation of the regulations.
