RITAM is a private initiative; it is an organization of concerned, committed and competent Traditional and Alternative Medicine Practitioners in Nigeria driven by the sole aim of prospecting and harnessing most especially our Traditional Medicine knowledge to complement Government efforts in this line.Most countries of the world including our African neighbor countries have in line with W.H.O guidelines, developed their indigenous Traditional Medical Systems to enviable heights. In some instances such countries have . exported their Traditional Medical Knowledge {TMK} to other countries thereby earning the much-needed foreign exchange. Acupuncture which is an important branch of Chinese Traditional Medicine {CTM} is now studied and practiced allover the world including the developed countries such as America, France, Germany etc. Acupuncture has gained global recognition and accolade as a veritable medical system thanks to the exceptional supportive role of the Chinese Government.
