The 2nd Asian Parks Congress was held for 6 days starting on May 24, 2022 until May 29, 2022. Seramai 247 local communities, orang asal/asli from Malaysia (Sarawak, Sarawak and Peninsular) and also from 8 countries in Asia including Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, India, Kemboja, Vietnam, Nepal and Kyrgyzstan have joined the 'Orang Asal and Komuniti Tempatan' or 'Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLC)' program. The forum is a joint initiative of PACOS Trust, Asia Indigenous People Pact (AIPP), The ICCA Consortium, Forest Peoples Programme, Sabah Parks and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
