In 1818, a work entitled: History of the Region of Kurdistan and of the religious sects existing there was published in Naples by the printing house of the Fernandes brothers, located at Strade Tribunali, n° 287. Despite the title, it is less a story strictly speaking than a description of Kurdistan at the dawn of the 19th century.
