Agriculture

Around 80 percent of the rural population in Cambodia works in agriculture. Levels of poverty are high and access to safe and nutritious food is a problem for many. Climate change and the increased risk of floods and droughts further threatens livelihoods. Improving food security and nutritional wellbeing is central to MJP’s poverty alleviation program in the Samlout District.
