Watch Indonesia! e.V. was founded in 1991 by a number of individuals who were actively involved in exposing various human rights violations in Indonesia and in East Timor during the Indonesian occupation. Since 1994 Watch Indonesia! became the official organization in Berlin. Watch Indonesia! is a membership-based secular organization. Impartiality and independence are fundamental to our thinking and way of working. On the basis of solidarity and attachment to the people of both countries, we want to bridge the problems in Indonesia and Timor Leste with politics and society in Germany.
