We Mẽbêngôkre (or Kayapó) communities created, in 2001, the Raoni Institute to defend the interests of our people. IR is a non-profit, non-partisan Civil Society Organization of Public Interest located in the city of Peixoto de Azevedo (MT). Today we represent not only Kayapó communities, but also the Trumai, Tapayuna and Panará peoples, for access to public policies and fundraising to strengthen our cultural activities, our food production, our income generation and the protection of our territories and rights.
